This organisation has developed a data platform that is widely applicable within the energy market. It processes data (e.g. from smart energymeters) and translates it into smart dashboards with which energy suppliers and network operators can better map out their purchasing. The goal is to make the market smarter. For example, by applying Machine Learning to estimate expected use. It is an international platform with many great opportunities for growth in sectors such as windturbines and solar panels.

Functie
As a functional consultant, your main responsibility is the implementation of our own software within the application landscape of our client. This involves a technical and a business part. You are the solution engineer, in charge of the business part that involves the design, configuration, and testing of business processes as flows that operate on the time series and metadata of our client’s data sources.
The flows can be VEE, billing determinants calculation, load forecasting, balancing, and settlement, or any other processes, some of which use machine learning techniques. In close cooperation with your technical colleagues, you orchestrate business rules into flows that execute the core business processes of our energy clients at a cloud-scale. You set up monitoring and follow-up processes using Energyworx configurable dashboards and task management features. Moreover, you coach the client or implementation partners in configuring their own flows, dashboards, and task management processes.
As a consultant, you listen to the customer’s requirements to help them understand their business problems. The result is that you and your technical colleagues design a solution or a PoC for the Client’s challenges and propose this to the Commercial team. This consultancy can be executed on-site or remotely. You work in a high-tech environment with the newest (Google) cloud, analytics, and machine learning technologies. Always looking out for interesting innovations, you cooperate with the Product team to effectively use these technologies to improve our business use cases, platform, and your working method.
Eisen
Minimal 2 years (min. 10 years for an architect) of experience as a consultant;
Experience in enterprise system implementation projects at energy and utility companies;
Solid understanding of specific energy & utilities business processes and datasets in areas like meter data management, portfolio management, forecasting, demand-response management, allocation & reconciliation, settlement, energy balance, and billing determinant calculations;
Ability to communicate and reason about concrete solution designs;
Bachelor or Master degree (HBO/WO) in Computer Science or a related discipline;
Good requirements analysis, solution design, and data modeling skills;
Application configuration experience (design, configure, test, document);
Familiarity with databases (relational and non-relational) and SQL;
Fluent in English, both in writing as well as verbally;
