An international company that produces printed circuit boards is looking for reinforcement! A large company in Asia is responsible for the design and creation of printed circuit boards. In the Netherlands, we have a branch of about 20 people who focus on expanding the printers in Europe. These printers are bought by large companies who supply PCB’s in their products on a conveyor belt. So what you see is that the customers range all over Europe! You get the advantage of a large organization (the financial resources and the fact that everything is well organized) but also the benefits of a somewhat smaller organization. Think of the ample freedom in development, but also your own input. For the coming year, we want to expand the team with two people.
We are looking for a PLC engineer who likes to be on the road. A PLC engineer who doesn’t want to sit behind his computer all day. You will play a dynamic role for your team in this position. The customer orders a PCB printer. Then you install the printer on site with a colleague. It can sometimes happen that the customer is abroad. In any case, we make sure that everything is arranged, such as hotel accommodation and an expense allowance so that you are not prevented from working. You will also stay abroad for a maximum of one working week. Once you have installed the printer on location, the software still needs to be set up. This is where your PLC knowledge will come in handy. The software is very bare and must therefore be programmed according to the customer’s wishes and requirements. It is therefore important that you feel at home with PLC and structured text. Once the printer is installed, you will exist for the customer as a contact person. You will advise and help them when they encounter problems with the printer. We are aware that the position is very broad, therefore we have a training program that lasts 3 months. In those three months we will teach you all the ins and outs of the product and how to interact with the customers. In proportion, you will be 65% in the Netherlands and 35% abroad.
